Addiction

I invited my mom over this morning for breakfast. The rest of the fam is having fun in NYC. We had a really good breakfast. Today is rainy. So we decided it would be nice to just hang around and be lazy. Luke and Cindy came over and we all went to the dog park with our dogs. Mom, Luke, Cindy, and I had a great time chatting and just watching dogs be dogs.

I asked mom what she wanted to do when we got home. We both decided a lazy saturday afternoon was in order. Mom was surfing the net about golf and vacations. I started playing some of the preloaded games on the new xbox. There is a new game called Zuma that is really fun. You basically shoot colored balls out of a frogs mouth and try to match them to their like color and thus eliminate them from the ever expanding line of balls. The object is to eliminate them all before they get to the end of a path.

I played for a while and then I asked mom if she would like to try. She said she would give it a go. I gave her a small crash course on how to use and xbox controller and then turned her loose. Well......she's addicted!!!! Check it out!!! Thus proving even your mom can enjoy video games.

Two out of three

I woke up this morning to a late winter/early spring blizzard. I bought a new chair yesterday along with a new xbox. Thus, I am prepared. Here are 3 pictures. Two out of the three objects will be in use today. Which ones do you think?

Winnie's 3rd Birthday

Today is Winnie's 3rd Birthday. I took her to Petsmart to pick out some snacks and toys. She is the best dog anybody could have. She is a trash eatin, face lickin, bratwurst stealin, cat chasin, frisbee catchin, football snatchin, close snugglin hell of a dog. Here are some pics of her over the years.

My baby the day we brought her home.

Awwwwwww!

Child Labor

Last Sunday mom brought the kids over for a little child labor party (and to relieve Sally while she was sick... see sansoms.blogspot.com). My backyard loves to grow some mean weeds and sticker bushes. I didn't take care of these last year so I figured now would be a good time.

After the weeds were gone.   We decided to have a family soccer game.  You can see that Winnie was very involved.

Hammer Time!!

We got a surprise at work on friday. MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice showed up out of nowhere. Let me say that again.....MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice were shopping at the South Towne Center. This was not an event. We did not invite them. They simply stopped by to kill some time while on the way to their concert in Orem. The promoter told us they were riding down the freeway in Hammer's huge limo and he specifically requested a shopping trip at Macy's. He was very nice and soft spoken. I must admit I was a bit starstruck because I had all Hammer's albums as a kid. He really is 2 legit to Quit. I never did see Vanilla Ice. He must have jumped in to the limo before I got there. Or he was blending in with all the Hollister teens...hahahahah

Day 1

This post is for Megan and Madison. They begged me to start a new blog. So here it is. I will start it off with some pics of our fall trip to "the place where laws are made". It was a hoot to hear Megan, Madison, and Mason singing all the songs from School House Rock while we were there. Mason was as quiet as ever when I told him all the people who make laws are in this building. He didn't want to get arrested for being loud.
